It is a vital contribution to the understanding of the conflict and was published after his death. This edition was translated into English by Thomas Holcroft in 1789 and in order to assist reading, Dr.Stephen Summerfield has reproduced it in three separate volumes, the third including some extra material by him on the Prussian State of the period: Facsimile of the 1789 edn., 274pp., additional illustrations from Knotel's DER ALTE FRITZ.
