280pp., 7 maps, 18 tables. 2025. Whilst the regiments history by Percy Groves concluded that the early history of the Regiment was lacking due to the destruction of the records at the evacuation of Port au Prince in 1796, Gareth has traced the Orderly Book which in fact exists and is republished here, with the addition of a transcript of the handwritten Standing Rules in Canada in 1801 & Officer's Mess Rules in Jersey in 1802.Added are very brief recollections of the 66th in the Peninsula. These provide a valuable unique record of the regiment for the period.
