FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ORDER…
One thing important, you are ONLY charged for your order when we process it. This is not done automatically by the computer programme but by me in the office. Most new books you will find have to be ordered – our own reprints are largely print-on-demand and take about one week to be ready to process. Used books need to be confirmed, which I will do as quickly as I can. Orders are posted once a week, usually mid week.
As we are both in our mid 70s, battling an impossible garden, wonderful grandchildren duties etc etc, there are times when we are not the fastest in processing orders. We do our best but please don’t think we are Amazon and the moment you order from us the it is all done and dusted. Just let us know if you have anvy concerns.
About Us
Richard Brown managed the Ken Trotman book business from the mid 1970s, through its ownership by Arms & Armour Press through to our management buyout in the 1980s and beyond. During that time we will have handled some of the finest collections and probably sold millions of books! Roz and I are now semi retired but enjoying not only bookselling but also our mighty Publication wing (for which enormous thanks to Dr.Stephen Summerfield). Being now in our 70s we work part time and not at the pace we used to. Please understand this when ordering from us.
Used Books
Our Used Book page now has a handly dropdown menu which allows you to view the books from your favourite category without the need to scroll down through other categories. Used books will also be greyed out completely once sold. PLEASE NOTE WE NO LONGER BUY BOOK COLLECTIONS
Book Information
Featured books are labelled, as are Our Publications (KT). These books are also listed first. When using the search bar, you’ll see which categories and catalogue a book belongs to. You may also find alternative book codes within brackets for books that may have had a different code in a previous catalogue. Book covers are slightly different, you may notice in the listings that not all the cover is showing – this is done for visual consistency across the site however if you hover over the cover itself or visit the book more info page you can see the whole cover.
